My 6 Point Agenda
The Six-Point Agenda of the Ekiti State Government is a strategic roadmap designed to accelerate sustainable development and improve the quality of life for all citizens. Rooted in a vision of inclusive growth and people-centered governance, the agenda reflects a deliberate commitment to building a resilient economy, empowering communities, and strengthening institutions. Each pillar works in synergy with the others—ensuring that governance is transparent and accountable, opportunities are expanded, infrastructure is modernized, and Ekiti's cultural and natural assets are positioned for global relevance.
1. Governance: Good governance drives our development efforts, guiding transparency, security, effective administration, strong partnerships, and accountability to the people we serve.
2. Youth Development and Job Creation: Creating jobs and income opportunities is central to our agenda, and we are supporting key industries and markets to generate sustainable employment across Ekiti.
3. Human Capital Development: Our goal is to ensure every child has access to quality education while promoting inclusive social programmes and women's empowerment.
4. Agriculture and Rural Development: We will grow Ekiti's agriculture by supporting farmers, attracting agribusiness investment, and boosting production of key crops to ensure food security, create jobs, and expand non-oil exports.
5. Infrastructure and Industrialization: We are committed to advancing key infrastructure, especially power and transportation, to boost Ekiti's economic growth, competitiveness, and social impact, building on progress in road projects and the Ekiti Airport.
6. Arts, Culture and Tourism: To diversify Ekiti's economy, we will develop tourism, arts, and culture, leveraging our rich heritage and unique attractions like Ikogosi's hot and cold springs to compete globally.
Together, these six pillars form a comprehensive development framework that prioritizes both immediate impact and long-term prosperity.
