Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is the quintessential product of Ekiti — shaped by its values, grounded in its communities, and committed to its progress. He embodies the true spirit of the Omoluabi: integrity, discipline, and service to the common good of his people.
Born and raised in the state, his leadership is informed by lived experience, steady discipline, and a deep understanding of public service. He holds a degree in Political Science from Ondo State University and a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan. He began serving Ekiti State at age 26, combining these academic foundations, with his early professional role as Secretary of the Committee on the Creation of Ekiti State, he gained direct exposure to governance, policy execution, and grassroots development.
Since assuming office as Governor, Oyebanji has focused on translating policy into measurable outcomes. His administration has recorded progress across agriculture, education, infrastructure, healthcare, and youth development — anchored on transparency, fiscal discipline, and institutional stability.
Under his leadership, Ekiti has strengthened public trust, improved service delivery, and positioned itself as a state where governance is deliberate, data-driven, and accountable.
Governor Oyebanji is known for a leadership style that is calm, accessible, and collaborative. He places strong value on consultation and results, believing that governance works best when it is practical, inclusive, and focused on long-term impact rather than short-term optics.
As he seeks a second term, his vision remains clear: to deliver a future of shared prosperity to Ekiti Kete by consolidating the gains of his first tenure, deepening economic opportunities, especially for young people; and ensuring that progress is felt not in abstraction, but through improvements in the everyday lives of Ekiti people.
